Ed Gallagher currently resides in the Glenshaw area with his wife of 28 years (Lynn) and 2 children (Kelly-24 and Ryan-22). In his spare time, Ed is involved with the Shaler community sports and the St. Bonaventure Parish where his kids attended school. He also enjoys attending Pittsburgh Symphony concerts, Pirates and Steelers games with his family and friends, as well as Crossfit classes during the week.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage

Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

DeHaven Athletic Association

Ed serves on the Board of Directors for the DeHaven Athletic Association. DeHaven provides baseball and softball opportunities to over 500 boys and girls in the Shaler community.

St. Bonaventure Parish

Ed is also President of the Athletic Association for the St. Bonaventure Parish. The school serves over 400 students in the Glenshaw community.

Professional Experience

Ed has over 31 years experience in the financial services industry. He is focused on Private Client Services for professionals, business owners, executives and high net-worth individuals. These services include family security, asset modeling, retirement planning and income distribution strategies, estate tax planning, charitable giving and education planning. Before joining the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Specialist in 2002, Ed spent almost 20 years at a Private Family Office practice.
