Founder - Gruen Financial
Personal Background
David Gruen came to South Florida at the age of seventeen from Washington, DC as a cabana boy. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University where he ran Sigma Phi Epsilon for three years. Prior to beginning work at Northwestern Mutual, he spent five years working in hospitality, while also in college. This experience helped shape his concierge-style premier client experience, where the focus is always on anticipating client needs and providing an unparalleled level of responsiveness.
David Gruen comes from a family of six (plus dogs) and enjoys traveling to see all of them. His father, Bill Gruen, is a financial professional and is an inspiration who gave him his passion for financial planning. He is also an ongoing resource.
David married Isabel Riera in November of 2017 and since then they have had two sons; William and Leo. They own a house with their Pomeranian and Director of Security, Guapo, in Biscayne Park in North Miami. During the summers and whenever available they visit their farm in Virginia where they grow absolutely nothing but love doing it.

He is in demand for speaking engagements with various college organizations, as well as internally with offices around the country at Northwestern Mutual.
Gruen has been invited and attended multiple dedicated schools and training courses in order to grow his knowledge base and technical expertise. In addition he attends multiple conferences a year to maintain a current knowledge base on the ever changing financial climate.
