Chris is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and a supporter of the Langston Bar Association and the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. He is also a guest lecturer for the Financial Literacy & Wellness course at UCLA’s Black Male Institute (BMI).

Certifications and Designations
- CFP® – The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification is one of the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. CFP® certification identifies to the public those individuals who have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients. The certification differs from an educational designation or state license in that it is based upon requirements that have been determined by extensive job analyses of actual practitioners in the field, and therefore, continue to evolve with the profession.
- CLU® – Chartered Life Underwriter designees have expertise in a broad array of personal risk management and life insurance planning issues for individuals, business owners and professional clients. Their training includes an emphasis on ethics, professionalism and a holistic and comprehensive approach to addressing insurance planning needs.
- ChFC® – The Chartered Financial Consultant is the "Advanced Financial Planning" designation awarded by The American College of Financial Services. Charter holders use the designation ChFC® on their resumes and are qualified to provide comprehensive advanced financial planning for individuals, professionals, and small business owners.
- CLTC® – Certified in Long-Term Care graduates have completed a rigorous multidisciplinary course that focuses on the profession of long-term care planning. Long-term care insurance is a complex product that offers many forms of protection and pricing structures. CLTC® professionals are highly trained in the field of long-term care and know the appropriate questions to ask. Their main goal is to help you identify solutions for your needs.
- RICP® – A Retirement Income Certified Professional® is a financial professional who specializes in retirement income planning. Financial professionals earn the RICP® designation after following the program for retirement income professionals. Once qualified, RICP® advise retirees and near-retirees as to the best way to use the assets they have accumulated for retirement to live comfortably within a realistic budget and not run out of money prematurely.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chris holds degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from UCLA, as well as an MBA from Mount Saint Mary's University. Although he had imagined himself working in politics, Chris found a new path when he accepted a position at Morgan Stanley before graduation. Realizing that finance was his true calling, he later joined Northwestern Mutual as an intern and has worked in the financial services industry for over seven years. Outside of work, Chris loves to do yoga, catch up with friends, and spend quality time with his daughter, Madison.
