Alex Fitch
Wealth Management Advisor
Personal
Alex grew up in Central Oregon and lives in Bend with his wife Erica, daughter Braelynn, and labradoodle Chai. They met and started dating while Erica was also working at Northwestern Mutual in 2012. They were married in 2015 in Lake Oswego.
Moving to Bend in 2020 they enjoy taking full advantage of all the access to the outdoors around them. From camping and hiking, to skiing and running, the Fitch family is on the move and always looking for the next trail or scenic outpost to go to.
Alex has played golf competitively throughout his life and serves as the president of the men's golf association for Bend Golf Club. He also has gotten his daughter Braelynn hooked on the sport early on. Alex and Erica are actively serving the community at their Church, CCA, and Erica this past year has helped launch Mom What's Next? - Bend, an online platform for parent's to seek activities and adventure with their kids in Central Oregon.
Professional
Alex has been at Northwestern Mutual since 2012. He started his career after graduating from Linfield College as an intern. After being a financial representative for a year Alex moved into an associate Wealth Management Advisor role. He used this time to gain more knowledge in retirement, business & estate planning and running a wealth management practice. He now uses this background with current clients in creating savings strategies, positioning tax-efficient strategies for retirement distribution, and working with businesses on benefits for their employees and ownership transitions.
Our practice stands apart from other advisors by pairing our clients vision, values and goals harmoniously with the best tools, tactics, and strategies that are out there in the marketplace. Everyone is different and we treasure those differences. We work as hard as we can to be well informed and updated with current law so that we can educate our clients to the best of our ability and make recommendations as if we are sitting in their shoes. We work to create an environment that challenges both our team and our clients to become better versions of ourselves each day.
Our team's vision is to grow our practice with clients we enjoy working with, who love their families, businesses, community, and value our advice. We strive to create long-term relationships so that we can be beside them throughout their life and celebrate together when their goals and dreams come true. A mentor of Alex’s told him early on “Our friends are our clients and our clients become our friends” as well as “make it a great day for someone in need”. We hope to embody these sayings by serving our community and clients to the best of our ability, and establishing an environment where each person we meet is valued and respected.

Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
